Dog fitness

Dog fitness is a form of active exercise with dogs. While often associated with exercises on balls and sensory discs, active exercises can (and should!) be incorporated into rehabilitation, helping dogs regain physical fitness and normal functioning. They can also be used to improve condition, build strength and muscle, prepare the body for sports (such as agility, frisbee, etc.), or simply enhance an active dog’s life.

When exercising on balls, many people think only of making the dog stronger. However, we forget that a dog without body awareness is more prone to injury than a dog who knows it has four legs and how to use them. There are many aspects we can work on to perfect our dog’s form!

Plus, it’s great fun for dogs and their owners!
