Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgical method. Patients undergoing laparoscopic surgery experience significantly less post-operative pain and recover more quickly compared to animals undergoing traditional open abdominal surgery. Depending on the type of procedure, the surgeon performing the laparoscopy makes 2-3 1 cm long incisions, then a surgical instrument and a microscopic camera are inserted. The image from the camera is displayed on monitors, allowing the doctor to assess the area very accurately and inspect all abdominal organs. This method also enables highly precise, minimally invasive tissue sampling for histopathological examination.
